Peter Fazekas

Peter Fazekas started training at Team Renzo Gracie Ottawa at the age of 16 and started competing only a few months into training, frequently traveling to the United States and Brazil to do so. During his multiple trips to Brazil, Peter trains at the famous Gracie Barra academy in Rio; he has also competed at the world championships. He was promoted to the rank of Blue belt in November 2005 by multiple World Champion Fabio Leopoldo, with whom he has trained extensively. Then in December 2007 he received his Purple Belt from Pat Cooligan. Peter has also trained with top MMA fighters and BJJ players such as Renzo Gracie, Igor Gracie, Rolles Gracie, Marcio Feitosa, John Danaher, and Ricardo Almeida, to name a few. Peter is at the academy full-time, and is one of the instructors in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program.
